Empowering the Balinese With Business Opportunities

Empowering the Balinese With Business Opportunities

WINGS OF EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION UPDATE… Hi Beautiful People. Here’s a quick update on what we are up to currently.
No sign of change here in Indonesia even though the government dangled a big carrot several weeks ago saying that the airport would be opening and tourists welcomed back to Bali (as long as you are double jabbed)! Well the days and weeks have now gone by and NOT ONE SINGLE tourist flight has arrived! Goodness knows how many people ran out and got jabbed thinking they would be lazing around a pool in paradise right now! Very disheartening for the local people who excitedly prepared their accommodation and retail stores for the occasion… then absolutely nothing AGAIN!
Because of the ongoing situation, I’ve turned my focus more to empowering people with business opportunities rather than continually handing out food parcels, this way they can actually help themselves and their families! Thanks to your previous generous donations, we have already been able to set up two small business, one for the production of healthy coconut oil using stainless steel pans and glass bottles instead of aluminium and plastic, and the second, a sewing business.
Currently I see an opportunity for an eco laundy in our area. If you have ever stayed in Bali, you will no doubt have noticed that Balinese people loooooooooove their chemicals! Hmmm, not a good thing for those of us who are sensitive to these powerful perfumes!! So I got to thinking, actually, an eco laundry would be a fantastic business opportunity for one local family, and a very welcome addition to our village since the current laundry’s all seem to be super busy! (there will be another business opportunity making the eco detergent once I learn the process myself… any information in regards to this would be priceless 🙂 )
If anyone would love to help me make this a reality, your donation will be so gratefully received. I have some funds to contribute already but not enough as this project will need a washing machine and possibly dryer, electricity instalment and ironing equipment. I’m estimating the total cost to be approximately $800 AUD.
I am so grateful for your support in helping me to help our fellow brothers and sisters in need. Thank you in advance to all that this resonates with.
